Short-term, Fixed-term Faculty in Fine Arts & Communication

The College of Fine Arts and Communication consists of 4 academic units including the School of Music, the School of Art and Design, the School of Communication and the School of Theatre and Dance. The College is seeking applications for short-term, fixed-term faculty (.74 FTE or less) for one or more semesters during the upcoming academic year.

On-Campus Student Employment

ECU School of Theatre and Dance is currently seeking Box Office/Theatre Assistants, who will assist the Box Office Manager with ticket sales, messages, and misc. duties for the ECU/Loessin Playhouse and the Playhouse processes. This position interacts with the public, so a certain level of customer service and professionalism is expected both on the phone and in-person. Based on availability and experience, employees may be assigned to work in the various Design & Production shops such as costumes, paint and props, etc. This will be addressed during the interview process.

All majors are welcome, no experience required.

All positions require Federal Work Study Authorization. To be ELIGIBLE for FEDERAL WORK STUDY positions, students MUST QUALIFY and RECEIVE a FEDERAL WORK STUDY AWARD from the ECU Financial Aid Office (Old Cafeteria Complex).

Usher volunteers

The ECU/Loessin Playhouse welcomes volunteers to help usher for each of our productions. Ushers get a behind-the-scenes experience of the different performance art we offer and are welcome to view the show for free. This is a fun way to help the university, get to know our donors and community members, fulfill your volunteer hours, and enjoy live performances on campus.
