Director, School of Theatre and Dance

The Director of the School of Theatre and Dance is the chief administrative officer and unit head of the School of Theatre and Dance and is responsible to and serves at the pleasure of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts and Communication. The Director of the School is the producer and artistic director, in accordance with professional theatre norms, of all production work by the school and the Loessin Playhouse.

Short-term, Fixed-term Faculty in Fine Arts & Communication

The College of Fine Arts and Communication consists of 4 academic units including the School of Music, the School of Art and Design, the School of Communication and the School of Theatre and Dance. The College is seeking applications for short-term, fixed-term faculty (.74 FTE or less) for one or more semesters during the upcoming academic year.

FWS Student Box Office/Theatre Assistants

ECU’s School of Theatre and Dance is currently seeking several Box Office/Theatre Assistants, who will assist the Box Office Manager with ticket sales, messages, and misc. duties for the ECU/Loessin Playhouse and the Playhouse processes. Based on availability and experience, employees may be assigned to work in the various Entertainment Design & Production shops such as costumes, paint and props, etc. This will be addressed during the interview process.

Usher volunteers

The ECU/Loessin Playhouse welcomes volunteers to help usher for each of our productions. Ushers get a behind-the-scenes experience of the different performance art we offer and are ushers can view the show for free. This is a fun way to help the university, get to know our donors and community members, fulfill your volunteer hours, and enjoy live performances on campus.
