Austin Jones is excited to join the ECU School of Theatre and Dance faculty as an Associate Professor of Acting. He comes to Greenville from Ithaca, New York where he taught all levels of acting in the BFA Performance program at Ithaca College.

He is an actor, director, and film/media maker. Acting credits include: (New York) – Classic Stage Company, The Roundabout Theatre, The Public Theatre, Prospect Theatre Company, and Clubbed Thumb. (Regionally) – The Hangar Theatre, The Kitchen Theatre, The Cherry Arts, Yale Repertory, Yale Cabaret, and The Stamford Center of the Arts. (Film& TV) Bad Things, Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos, Law and Order, Law and Order SVU, and Lipstick Jungle. Austin is the co-creator of the web series Meantime.

Directing credits include Free Play, Hedda Gabler, Luna Gale, and the NYC Senior Showcase – AY ’17-’23 at Ithaca College. How I learned To Drive at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Co-Director of The Merchant of Venice at The Yale School of Drama and Suicide in B flat at the Tom Ramsey Actor’s Canteen.

Austin has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Brenau University and the Gainesville Theatre Alliance, and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the Yale School of Drama—where he studied with the late Master Teacher, Earle Gister. He is a member of The National Alliance of Acting Teachers, Actor’s Equity Association, and SAG/AFTRA.
