Space Requests

Due to the hands-on nature of theatre and dance, we will consider requests for access to studio and shop facilities on a case-by-case basis. Read the instructions and information below and fill out the form below to begin the request process.

Undergraduate theatre and dance students who are accepted into a concentration may request special access to Messick Theatre Arts spaces.

All requests must be reviewed and approved by appropriate area coordinator(s) and the Director or Assistant Director. In some instances, the Dean of the College of Fine Arts and Communication will be notified of approvals.

Access to campus and SOTD spaces is subject to the School, ECU, Greenville, Pitt County, and North Carolina policies, rules, and regulations. Access may end at any time due to a mandate by appropriate authorities and/or administration in the interest of public health, safety, and department availability. 

Students who are granted access to SOTD spaces must follow all ECU policies and regulations. Those who do not follow policies may lose future access to facilities.

Students who are granted access must have a faculty or staff supervisor available during their access times. To schedule a space, you must complete the form below or contact Amanda K. Hudson.

Students will have 1Card access to Messick Theatre Arts Center at night and on weekends. The facility is closed and locked on state holidays.
